CalDAV-Sync is a CalDAV client designed for Android devices, allowing users to synchronize events and tasks. Its implementation as a sync adapter enables seamless integration with the native calendar app and widgets. For task support, users are recommended to install the Task app available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dmfs.tasks.

As of version 0.4, CalDAV-Sync now also supports read-only synchronization of webcal ics feeds (via HTTP & HTTPS).

Important note for Android 4.1 and Samsung users: To prevent the removal of accounts on reboot, it is advised to install the following app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dmfs.jb.workaround.caldavsync. Although this issue appears to be resolved in Android 4.2, the workaround remains necessary for Samsung devices.

Users should be aware of a new issue in Android 4.4, detailed at http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=66905. This issue may cause accounts to be removed during app updates, with the workaround app recommended for resolution.

This application creates new calendars on the device (one for each calendar on the server account).

• Note to Yahoo!® users: Due to multiple issues on Yahoo!'s servers, formal support for Yahoo! has been discontinued.
• Note to Free.fr users: Free.fr does not support CalDAV; however, one-way synchronization of free.fr calendars using the Webcal option should be feasible.

After installation, navigate to "Settings" > "Accounts & Sync" and create a new account for setup. If no calendar is installed on the device, visit the developer's website to download and install CalendarProvider.apk and Calendar.apk (applicable to FroYo and Gingerbread versions).
